About Us

Why are we here?

Because God put it on the hearts of those who began the school in 1990 to provide, for those parents who desired it for their children, an education based on Biblical foundations and Christian principles.

Where?

Maranatha Christian School is sited at Queenlaines Farm (named after a visit, so local folk-lore has it, by Queen Elizabeth I) on the edge of the village of Sevenhampton, in rural Wiltshire. We are only five miles from Swindon town centre, but the meadows and woodlands that surround the school make it a peaceful haven in a busy world.

How?

MCS is an independent Christian school with charitable status. We receive no Government support, and meet our financial obligations through school fees and donations.

MCS is fully registered with the Department for Education and Skills, and regularly monitored by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate, with whom we have a very positive and constructive relationship.

What do we offer?

Our aim is to encourage each student in his or her own relationship with God, to develop Christian character in each of them, and to enable them to find and develop the individual gifts and callings He has given them, through Accelerated Christian Education and other curriculum materials and through the sharing of our lives together in the context of the School.
